Recapping 2012!

Hello!
I'm really awful at blogging. I was too busy having fun to stop and write about it. :) Since the year is almost over, I thought I would recap what i've been up to all year!

  • Had my first surgery on my tongue.

  • Celebrated my one year of being baptized. With McDonald's obviously...

  • Handed out lemons to people on campus. "When LIFE hands you lemons."
  • Ate my first crepe at IHOP while wearing a mustache.
  • Said goodbye to my best friend for 18 months

  • Learned how to swim

  • Took a road trip to Logan, Utah

  • Went camping for the first time

  •  Went to my first college party
  • Had a successful Rush Week

  • Got my Tragus pierced (far right)

  • Went to a Fraternity Toga Party

  • Got a Little Sister in my Sorority

  • Went to California for Fall Break

  •  Rode a tandem bike

  • Went to Knottsberry Farm for the first time

  • Dressed up as Pikachu for Halloween.
    • Held a snake.
  • Went to Montana for Thanksgiving Break

  • Pretended to be a Lumberjack for a day.

  •  Ramon turned 3!

  •  Did cliche college things like take a picture with the SUU on the road

Went to an ABC Dance
Took a picture with the famous school statue

  •  Went to the pet store about a million times during the semester

  • Went to Temple Square and saw the lights.

There's a bunch of other things I did that I don't have pictures for:
  • Turned 21
  • Got my first kiss and became a True T-Bird during Homecoming Week
  • Visited someone in jail
  • Trained a bird to do cool tricks
  • Did a research project and presented it at the Psychology Symposium
  • Slept in a tent in my living room and front yard
  • Voted in my first election
  • Survived the end of the world
  • Became very poor and ate a lot of fast food
It was an amazing year and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world! I've met some amazing people who've made me a better person. I've grown up and became a better person. I can't wait to see what this new year has to bring. Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013! Please be more amazing than this past year. :)

One Last Trip Together

Hello! So on Tuesday, Elisa, 2 of her siblings (Malorie and Trevor), and I all went down to Cedar City for the day. We planned to watch Les Miserables at the Utah Shakespeare Festival and decided to make a day of it. It was also the last time that we could take a trip with Elisa before she leaves on her mission.
We left around 9 and met up with a couple of friends in Cedar to eat some sushi at Ninja. It was delicious and it was so good to catch up and see what everyone was up to.
After that, we watched Les Mis. It was SO good! I didn't know anything about it beforehand (sadly) but I absolutely loved it! I can definitely see why everyone is obsessed with it. Everyone should go see it! It was also cool to see some people we knew who were acting in the show. We ate dinner at Roberto's and headed back home. It was a wonderful day and i'm so glad we all got to go down to Cedar one last time together.

Saying goodbye to Elisa was probably the hardest thing I've had to do. We've spent the last 3 years pretty much constantly together. We've gotten ourselves into some pretty crazy adventures. Not seeing her for 18 months and only being able to write letters is going to be pretty hard. But she's going to be a great missionary and change people's lives for the better. I'm so proud of her and can't wait to hear about all of her adventures! See you in 18 months best friend! =)

Suuummer!

I love summer! It's my favorite season! I'm so glad that I get to be home this summer instead of in Cedar City.

I started my internship at The Children's Center a couple weeks ago and it has been so much fun hanging out with the little kids. My class is full of all boys ages 4-5. It's definitely been a learning experience.

Since I only volunteer for 9 hours a week and don't have a job (yet), I have a lot of free time. One thing I love about summer is that I have a lot of time to read books. So i'm spending my summer reading books and catching up on movies I haven't seen on Netflix. (and playing lots of Avengers on Facebook...) Sounds like a good summer to me! =)

"When LIFE hands you lemons"

A couple weeks ago, Elisa and I saw this picture on Facebook. We decided that we really wanted to do some of the things on this list. We started with the first one and made our own shirts and bought 7 bags of lemons. We stood in front of the library and walked up to people and handed them lemons. It was SO much fun! It took some people a while to get it. My favorite was, we handed this girl a lemon and she walked away and then she turned around and stopped us and said "I get it!" and asked to take a picture of us. It was awesome! I'm sure we made a lot of people's days and I can't wait to do it again! I can't wait to do the rest of the things on this list as well.

Bolivia?!

Today Elisa got her mission call! It was mailed to her house in Provo, so her family drove down to Cedar to open it. A couple of her theater friends came over to watch. It was my first time seeing anyone open their mission call so that was a fun experience. She got called to the Bolivia Santa Cruz mission!!!!!! I knew she was gonna go somewhere Spanish. I'm absolutely excited for her to go there! It's gonna be so awesome and I can't wait to be able to speak in Spanish with her. She leaves July 5th which is pretty crazy. That's only 2 months away! Im definitely not ready for her to leave, but I know she's gonna be a great missionary and have so much fun down there! We had no idea where Bolivia was so it's going to be fun to learn new things about it.

Start of a song career?

Hello! I finally decided that i'm just going to write about random and fun adventures that happen in my life. I don't really mind if people read them, i'm just doing this for myself so I have somewhere to post all the pictures and videos. The other day Elisa and I were hanging out with Alex. They were both making up songs and I was just listening (I have no musical talent unless you count singing in the car).  All of a sudden Alex starts singing a song about short people! (He is very tall, kind of like a giant) I wasn't as upset about it as Elisa was. (She gets picked on for her height a lot) To get back at him we wrote a full length song about tall people. We both wrote the song and Elisa sang it in the recording. It was really fun writing songs. We're gonna do it more often just as a hobby. Who knows what will happen with these videos. Maybe it will start Elisa's song career. Enjoy the video!
